White Feather Line

Want to try something different? I've got just the thing for you.

I was browsing in Sephora and the nail polish was, of course, calling my name. I chanced upon this interesting vile of enamel and had to have it. To change up a simple French manicure I added the "feathers" to my ring finger.

Base and Top Coat: Sally Hansen 2-in-1 base and top coat
Color: Used base and top coat as the foundation for the French tips
French Tips: Sinful Colors Nail Art  in Bad Chick (skinny rectangular bottle)
Ring Finger: Nails Inc. London Feathers in York

Simply Sinful

Here's a simple manicure that's still pretty and girly.

Base Coat: Sally Hansen 2-in-1 base and top coat
Color: Pink Glass by Sinful Colors
Top Coat: Same as base coat

To get the color to look like this, I painted on 3 layers...
Make sure you let them dry before you apply the top coat
so that the layers don't move.

Matte About Who?

Hey my follow polish addicts!! I have a new mani to share with you. I'm so grateful for the ladies that have polishing experience and note-worthy creativity. Without them I wouldn't have learned about the different trends I now love so much.

One of these trends is matte nail polish. I first saw matte polish in a Duane Reade store and OPI had them in their line. I didn't like it very much then but now I found Essie's "Matte About You" polish that makes any polish matte, and I absolutely love it!! I've already tried two manis with it and here they are:

base color: Brucci Nail Hardener in Elizabeth's A "Natural"

Bundle Monster BM02 lip stamp in Sally Hansen's Commander in Chic

Essie's Matte About You top coat for a matter a finish

Base color: Sinful Colors in Pink Forever
Free hand design using Sally Hansen's Nail Art Pen in White (I love that thing!)

Black Disco Ball

Black polish is a first for me so to tone it down a little I topped it off with some GLITTER!!! I never really liked glitter before but now I'm obsessed! (I hope that's not a bad thing)....Here's the mani...

 L.A. Colors in Black Velvet
I really liked this polish. After the base coat it went on really opaque in just 1 coat and a half.

Sally Hansen "Strobe Light"

 This is the result! ^>^

(Out of the stark light)

The next two pics is just showing off the effect in dim lighting. Cool, huh?

Glitz anyone?!

In first two pictures: Sally Hansen Celeb City...I did like 1 coat and a half so the base wouldn't be solid silver
Last two pics: Celeb City with S.H's In the Spotlight on top

**Tip for In the Spotlight application: Fish around for the glitter strips. Try to get as many strips on the brush with as little clear polish as possible. If you have to keep brushing to get all the strips you want on your nail, the polish starts to pile on which will cause it to chip faster later.
